OVERVIEW
Have you previously climbed a big wall, but want to try and do one in a day? This course is meant to teach a big wall climber the tactics of speed climbing. During this 2-day program we will take a deep dive into the tactics and skills that people use to climb the Nose in a day. Our guides have climbed many walls in a day including multiple on El Capitan. The Nose of El Capitan is in our opinion the best rock climb on the planet. To cruise the 3,000 ft stone with a light pack is something we want you to experience!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
This is for people who have some experience on big walls and want to gain the speed climbing experience to climb them in a day.
You need to have climbed a big wall previously and be comfortable with aid climbing up to C2 and free climbing up to 5.9 on gear. If you do not have big wall experience please check out our 4 day Climb El Capitan course. If you have previously taken that course you will be accepted into this one.
During this course you will learn all about back cleaning, rope management, short fixing, lowering out, how to manage runouts, what to bring for a day, gear for a NIAD, efficient jumaring, efficient hauling, when to haul, and many more.
This will give you the skill set to climb a wall in a day. We strongly recommend taking these tactics to a smaller wall first. After having success on the smaller wall you will be prepared for the NIAD.
