OVERVIEW
Do you have the desire to climb El Capitan, or any other big walls? This course is designed to help you go from a lead climber to a big wall climber. Our guides have significant experience climbing big walls, and we look forward to sharing that with you. There is so much that goes into a big wall climb that this course is a 4-day program. The days can be back-to-back, or you can schedule them as two 2-day programs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
This is for climbers who want to ascend big walls safely and efficiently.
You need to be comfortable leading 5.8 traditional multi pitch climbing routes.
During this course we will cover aid climbing, efficient anchor building, hauling, porta-ledge assembly, French free climbing, jumaring, lowering out, efficient rope systems, gear for a big wall, and many more.
This course is meant to prepare you to head out and climb a few smaller walls such as Washington’s Column or Leaning Tower. After testing your skills out on the smaller walls, you will be able to climb El Capitan.
